Suitable for use in: Disabled Toilets

The RADAR lockset consists of a 6 lever mortice lock in polished aluminium, with an external red/white indicator and an emergency access coin release.

The door is opened from the outside by use of the RADAR key when the cubicle is unoccupied. Once the user is inside the cubicle the door is locked by lifting the lever upwards, which also activates the external occupied indicator.

To exit the cubicle, the lever is pushed down, allowing the door to open and changing the indicator to white. Please note, when occupied (indicator shows red) door cannot be opened from outside by RADAR key.

This lock is approved by the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilition (RADAR), which means that a toilet can be locked at all times unless opened by a registered disabled or blind user with their RADAR key. This means that the toilet area can be kept clean and the limited access helps prevent missuse and vandalism, enabling a clean functional toilet.

The handing can be determined by standing inside the cubicle and finding which side of the door the hinges are hung. If the hinges are on the right, then the lock is right handed. If the hinges are on the left, then the lock is left handed.

The lever handle should be fitted 800 - 1050 mm above the floor level (recommended height 900 mm).

All locks supplied with one (1) bow shaped handle key and fixings.
